behind the scenes
Hello, I'm Erica :DFirstly, I would like to introduce myself as a typical individual who just so happens to have a pair of irrepressibly crafty hands.
Paired with a seemingly imaginative brain and a zeal for anything artistic, this blogshop could well be the result of those hands getting hold of a pair of pliers and almost anything shiny.
Like all other teenagers, I go to school - one that I am having the best time in, workload, deadlines and all.
I shall refrain from revealing my age at this point in time, but you can probably make a fairly accurate guess, if you read through and pick up some hints ;)
I'm a Visual Arts student from School of the Arts(SOTA) Singapore.
Established in June 2008, Tinted Jewels is an outlet for me to sell and showcase my handmade trinkets and creations.
This whole crafting journey originally started as a hobby (and it still is) in 2006, when I got my first set of pliers. I am utterly grateful that God has blessed me with a flair for art and creating things.
When I successfully created my first pair of earrings in 2006, I instantly knew that this was something I enjoyed and would want to continue.
After a year or so, I've created so many accessories that space became a small issue. My friends and family often prompted me to start selling my accessories, but I used to think it would take up too much time, especially when I was just adjusting to secondary school life.
Ironically, in 2008, I decided that an online shop was worth a shot (after lots of influence from my friends). So now, the computer has become my best friend, after Tinted Jewels. But I'm really glad that my parents supported me in this mini business venture. And many thanks to my cousin, Kimberly, for all her encouragement and help when I first started out, and presently as well.
Not to forget, thank you too, for dropping by my site :D I hope you'll find something that catches your eye and enjoy browsing through these trinkets just as I enjoyed making them.
I'm entirely open to customisations as well, so do not hesitate to email me :)
Also, do feel free to drop me some feedback. I'd love to hear what you think. Thank you and happy shopping!
